Clown for my Condi

I just bought a very large condi (it has cream color tentacles and purple tips.) I was just wondering what clowns will use him as a home.

Condis are not host anemones, but I had tomato clowns take to the one I had. I can't say the anemone liked it much though.

I don't know that I'd suggest any anemone for a beginner (just ends up costing hundreds of dollars and a couple ten anemones) but I also wouldn't suggest a snowflake eel in a ten gallon or a trigger with a bamboo shark. JMO

I agree you will most likely not get any clown to live in your condi and there is no such thing as a beginner anemone. Anemones should be left to experts to spare their lives and your pocketbook. You may consider some types of corals with anemone like tentacles. Mant times clowns will take to them in the absence of an anemone and they would be much easier to keep. HTH

I will go with everyone else on the fact that there is no beginner anemone. I lost a couple of anemones due to bad placement in the tank/anemones looking for more circulation.( finding themselves stuck up inside of power heads....not good. I have had pretty good luck with a sebae anemone and sebae clown combo but, the clown can be pretty territorial.
