Are clown gobies jumpers? I cant find mine anywhere.. I think he may have jumped.. either that or he got eaten by one of my corals or somthing.... :notsure:
I added him before I added my 60 more lbs of LR.. so I KNOW he wasnt in the tank.. and still is not.. I added him and one day later he was gone.. ?

I don't think so. I've had mine over a year and he never really gets going enough to jump. I used to have glass tops, but for the last few months I have had an open top and he's never even come close to the top that I have seen. Mine mainly likes to scoot around the tank in short bursts and perch on different corals.
Seems odd that he disappeared so soon after you introduced him to your tank. Odds are probably that he didn't make it and your clean up crew made quick work of him. They are so small, it wouldn't take long.

I put a green clown goby in yesterday and I just found him :joy:
He's in a small crevice on the bottom.

they can be REAL hard to find. My green clown goby made some long stem button polyps his home and it took me days to find him and he was likely there the whole time. You can stare right where it is and not see him. I have a Yellow which I can only find because he actually comes out and swims once in a while. Its unlikely any coral ate it. they are natural reef/coral dwellers and have a mucus coat unpleasant to consume. It may have died but I wouldn't conclude that so soon.

I have quite a few of them in various pico and nanos and have never had a problem with any of them being jumpers. They will and do however hide pretty darn good. I have had some that just in a matter of hours be out in full view in the tank and others that took em 2 weeks or more till they started to feel safe in the tank and be out in the open. I think out of all the clown gobies the green is perhaps the one I found thats most shy........the yellow and citrion are the friendliest, and the black finned or panda clown goby the smallest and neatest, but also the most costly expecially considering how big it only is.........

I suppose he could still be alive. I guess I didn't really think that because mine has never hidden. He was my first fish so I watched him non-stop when he was introduced to my tank.
Maybe I just got an overly outgoing fish and yours is shy. Then again, mine is a yellow so he's easy to spot anyway. Hopefully yours is still there and just hiding on you.

i have a yellow and a green, well i think i still have a green. my yellow clown never hides and dosnt seem to be much of a jumper. just hops from coral to coral all day never going to close to the surface. my green i havnt seen in a while so who knows. my lmb hated the green so i think he might have stressed it to death but who knows. good luck finding him
