Clown Goby with Swollen Body

I have an Orange Clown Goby that was completely fine last night. Now today it's body from behind its gills to the beginning of the tapered section of his tail is swollen. That part of his body is discolored to the point that it looks like a white ball in its abdomen. I'm trying to get a picture, but he is hiding in my monti cap. Any ideas?? Can it be an infection?? Can it be ready to lay eggs?? Please help!!
Oh and it isn't eating and not moving out of the Monti Cap at all.

What did you feed him?
Do you have a quarantine tank that you can put him into?

I feed frozen formula 2, frozen brine & frozen mysis. I also feed pellet and flake. I do have a QT that has 2 other small fish in there.

It may too much pellet. Pellets tends to really swell up. Is the fish the same today, or worse?
Are the other fish in the QT new fish? How long have they been in there?

I don't feed pellets too often, but now that you mention it...I think I did feed pellets the day before I noticed this happening. What should I do for him??
One is a new fish I got yesterday (Orange-Spotted Goby)....the other is a fish I saved from being picked on in my tank whom was close to death (Blue/Green Chromis).

I haven't been able to get a picture of him since he hasn't moved from the middle of my huge monti cap. He is in the same position as I found him 2 days ago. Still alive though.
Should I get him into the QT?? Should I treat with something?? I'd hate to lose him!! He's one of my faves!

Its a bit of guessing, but if anything, its likely a bacterial infection, perhaps from bad food. Has he eaten since?
Treat with Maracyn Two for SW fish in the QT.

No...he hasn't eaten since Friday night. It'll be ok to treat him with the other 2 fish in there as well...correct??

Are they large enough to capture fish?
The other fish will be getting antibiotics, which is not ideal, but what's the choice?

Weighing the pros and cons of removing the other 2 fish from the QT....I'll probably keep them in. The chromis, if put back in will most likely be bullied until dead as he is a quarter of the size of the others and the new goby I don't want to risk any Ich or other parasites in my DT.
So they get treated with antibiotic when they don't necessarily need it. I assume antibiotic resistance is something in fish too?

Do a small daily water change just before each redose.
I will certainly do that!!
I just looked at the underside of the fish as it's in a bare bottom tank. There is a white stringy thing coming out or off of it....any help in a diagnosis??

First course of antibiotics ended Friday. THe swelling looks a lot better and he is swimming more, but I haven't seen him eat and his tail and dorsal fins are brown on the edges and fraying. I'm thinking about starting 1 more course of antibiotics in hopes of helping the fins and the rest of the swelling.
