I was thinking about ordering a clown goby (prabably a green clown goby) but i have some Q's
1. Will it be ok with my 2 firefish?
2. On the website in the listings of the goby like this
"GREEN CLOWN GOBY SM.
GREEN CLOWN GOBY SM. (PHILIPPINES)"
They are both the same price, but whats the philippines for, and whats the differance.
3. ive heard of them eating coral, what are the chances of that?

1.) they say not to mix different species of gobies, but the clown goby is probably the most docile fish in the whole ocean, so i think it wont be a problem.
2.) i dont think there is a difference, one comes from the Philippines and the other from somewhere else. there might be a slight difference in color and pattern, so look into that and choose which one u like.
3.) i have never herd of these fish eating coral, so the chances of that would be zero.
one thing you should know about these fish is that they are really hard to feed, i think u can only get wild caught clown gobies, and they are really hard to get them eating frozen foods. i would try feed them brine shrimp first, then switch to mysis, because brine shrimp are smaller and softer for them to eat. i have had a few of these cute amazing fish, but i have had no luck with feeding =(
good luck!!

i hate it when fish are picky like that. Ill give it a try, i still have almost a full tube of brine shrimp eggs if it doesnt eat mysis.

In my pipefish tank I have a clown goby, a Okinawa goby, and a Catalina goby that all cohabitate very well. I have them in there because they are very efficient at cleaning up the excess bbs I feed the pipes.
When I was looking into them, the biggest downside to them is the diet, alot of people who I knew that had them lost them because they starved to death.
Once you get into the habit of hatching brine, it's super easy and when I put the baster into the tank the little gobies all swim over and feed. They are very healthy eaters. The minute I turn off the filters, they all come out of hiding and zoom around like excited puppies!

I forgot to include that they are fine with corals and gorgs.
