Clown having trouble submerging

I'm not sure if I'm over analyzing this, but it seems my clown fish has trouble submerging himself. He spends most of his time along the top of the tank, mainly in one corner. When he is swimming around going down seems to be very difficult for him, but going up requires almost no effort.
Is this a sign of something, or am I just being paranoid? Thanks.

I think you are being paranoid. A lot of clowns hang out at the top of the tank and when the littles guys swim they wiggle their whole body like it's a chore so I can see why you think he's struggling. But if he's eating ok , not lethargic, and showing no other signs then he's most likely OK. :joy:

LOL...I got my first fish on Saturday...a true perc and he's been doing the same thing and I thought the same exact thing. He swims from one side of the tank to the other only once a day usually when the lights go out and then hangs out in that corner all day. I'm kinda pissed about it to be perfectly honest. I spent all this money on LR (90lbs) and he doesn't even wanna explore it  Oh well...

What are you trying to feed him/her? Mine has eaten both formula 2 pellets and some frozen stuff I bought at the LFS (same thing they were feeding them there).

Our gold striped maroon clown stays at the top most of the time. It'll come down every now and then but I think the damsel keeps it up there some times. Ours eats the flake food we feed it along with the other fish we keep in the tank.
