Howdy everybody!,
I already have a mated pair of pink skunk clownfish in my tank, but currently at my LFS they have an extremely friendly maroon clown that will nibble at your fingers and chase your fingers around in the water. So anyway, could I keep my 2 skunks in with a maroon clown...my tank is a 55 gallon. No matter what i'm getting this fish...it's just a matter of whether I need 2 get a divider or not.
Thanks,
Adam

Yeah I think you could get him without the divider the tank should be big enough for the threee clowns. I have a maroon clown and a cinniman clown in one of my 55's right now and they get along fine. They fought for about the first 2 weeks alot and they know the pecking order now so I would say yeah the fish sounds cool go for it!

Beware because Maroons are the most agressive of any Clown species... if you already have a pair that has paired off introducing anothe, especialy a maroon, could be VERY hazardous to everyone's health.

No, it will not work without a divider. The skunk clowns are a mated pair so they would be even more aggressive towards other clowns, even if it were another skunk. The maroon clown is the most aggressive clownfish too.
Uknown, it isn't about how much room is in the tank, like that 1 inch of fish per 5 gallons. It is about the fish's territory in the tank. 55 gallons isn't big enough for 3 clowns, especially for a mated pair of clowns and a maroon.

I thought that the 2 skunks would have there "territory" on the right side per say and the maroon could have the left. SOMETHING LIKE that I dont think they would attack that much.
AS I SAID

I think YES it is a risk they could fight like crazy but I personally would say that there is plenty of "Territory" in that tank for the 3 of them
JMO on the subject.

Every clown is different, just like every human. And his are a mated pair. That does make a big difference. And they probably won't breed anymore with another clown in the tank, especially of another species.
