i had a piar of false percs but i lost one so i recently purchased one from my lfs and he doesnt want anything to do with my other clown who is always behind him.hopefully they'll pair up,but in the mean time the new guy found a home in my green open brain.he is closed no cause its bed time.

I'd watch the brain close. A lot of corals tolerate clowns fine but others do not. I'm not sure how the brain will react but hopefully it will be fine??

Not opening all the way, any damage or tissue irritation. Some times you can just move a coral to the other side of the tank and the clown will leave it alone.

I agree with reefnut. My clown is hosting afew of my corals right now, some seem to get irritated by this, so I am thinking about getting an anenome for him so he will leave the corals alone hopefully I am pretty sure my t5's will support one, is that an option for you?

my clowns used to host my open brain. The brain did great, didnt care at all. But since the clownfish nussled up against it at night, they did have some black spots on them from stings. But these stings were just concentration of melinin and didnt hurt the clowns at all that i could see. However, they have since moved. I had some macro that envaded the space of the brain and they had switched to that. more cover. As the macro grew along my tank, the clowns followed it, stopping at a patch of anthillia once i removed most of the macro. They now love it there, but the male seems to spend more time there than the female.

i think so, clowns are social and i like i said my clown is happier now since he lost his partner.he used to chase my striped damsel all over the place now he dont even pay attention to the damsel anymore.good luck give it a try.mine wanted to break through the bag when he saw the other clown lol

My False Percula also sleeps in my open brain coral at night. The coral stings it every night. The coral doesn't show any signs of irritation. I guess it's more comfy than the sand...
