Clown jumped!

My son just called me here at work to tell me the clownfish was lying on the carpet dead of course. I had no idea they would jump from the tank...will all fish do this? I have a light and cover over the tank but must have left the cover up when I water tested this morning. I'm so sad. Is loosing fish just a part of this hobby too?

I don't know if all fish are jumpers, I think losing fish just makes you gain experience and makes you learn from your mistakes, now you probably won't leave your lid open anymore, :thinking:

I had a clown jump also. I did not leave my lid open, but there were small openings at the back of the tank for equipment and he got out one of those. Sorry for your loss!
