Clown killing anemone?

As I was leaving the house yesterday, I noticed that my maroon clown was swimming in my anem. I've had the clown for about 6 months and I've had the anemone for about 2 months. The clown has never gone near the anemone, so I did a little
and I left. Well when I got home about 2 hours later, the clown was still in the anemone, but the anem didn't look so good. It was shrunken and deflated. The lights were off, so although I was concerned, I thought I would wait until the lights came on. The lights (MH) came on, but the situation didn't improve. The clown is loving the anemone. He doesn't leave it, but the anemone doesn't look so hot. What is going on? What should I do? I thought the clown was suppose to swim in the anemone.

Maroon clowns are VERY agressive in thier hosting and grooming. Your anemone needs to be a lot larger than your clown in order to properly host. Yes, your clown will eventually kill the anemone if this agressive hosting continues (i'm assuming the anemone is not much larger than the clown).
How big is your clown in respect to the anemone? What type of anemone?

The anemone is a Florida condi. When the lights are on he is pretty huge. I would say about 3 times larger than the clown. Is it possible that the clown started hosting while the lights were off, so the anem wasn't it's full size? I was told that because these creatures were from different parts of the world, they wouldn't host. I guess that person was wrong!
