clown looks unhappy

My per clown is being real lazy. He mostly just chills on the bottom against the glass. breathing is fine. He's been doing this for a week.:confused: :confused:

Have you checked your water params? What are the readings? Have you noticed anyone picking on him?

what else do you have in your tank, try getting an anenome, or some mushrooms. Clowns have their own personalities. I bought two false percs at the same time. When one died, the other seemed as if it was grieving, he never was very active and he finally died. Just give it some time.

he might be unhappy due to high amonnia levels, you should have chosen a more tolerable fish to cycle with. I would use a blue damsel or a chromis. Amonnia is very toxic to fish, even in small amounts. Hope he makes it through though.

Hold off on the anenome or mushrooms. Your water parms are not fine if you are still cycling.

Yup as stated there is your problem. Your water isnt fine if cycling. You need to test your water params and see what your readings are. Nost likely high ammonia.
