clown not eating.

my 3 inch long clown is has left his host and just swims in place.
he has not been eating in 2 days.
he is getting weak.
there are no signs of parasite or other (appearance is good)
behavoir is weak and weird.
he has been in the tank over 3 yrs
all of the parameters are ok
ph 8,2
nitrite.0
nitrate 0-4
ammonia 0-0.25
salinity 1.024
temp 80
i did have a leather (1 1/2) inch let loose from a rock and get in the shadows and die. i siphoned him out but im sure there were some toxins released but no other fish show any sign of stress.
maybe its just his time to go.

Hmmm. I wish I had something better to say, than "maybe it's his time."
However, do you have a QT tank? Maybe put him in there w/ some stress coat.

no, no QT. i dont know...i did a water change and changed the carbon but i think i may need to invest in one of those "poly pads?' i think that is what they are called.

Something may be going on in the tank if there is a small amount of ammonia, your clown is acting strangely, and one of your leathers just died. Has anything changed in the tank recently? What kind of water do you use? How old are your test kits?

i have done about a 10 gallon water change and changed the carbon bag after the leather died. (he was in a un-ideal location after a rock rearrange and i quess he wanted to move but didnt make it far)

BREAKING NEWS!
MY CLOWN STARTED EATING TODAY AFTER.... WHAT 7 DAYS!!
after 40 gallons of water change. cleaned the entire sump area and bio-balls and skimmer and overflow and adding chemipure elite and one chemical polypad (o-crap pad) and feeding some spirulina he ATE!
i think he may pull it together!
