Hey guys, so currently im treating all my fish in a 55g HT with copper for ich that broke out a few days ago, everyone is doing fine and eating like pigs( juvinile yellow and hippo tang, 4 cromis, 1 fire fish ).
My question here is, can i kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak. My LFS currently has a special on confirmed pairs of clowns (its a great deal that they have bi annualy), and ive been waiting for this for months! but the thing i didnt plan on was having my 55g QT occupied when the sale started.
Can i buy and add the new pair to the HT and treat that as their QT period, and then add them back to the main system in 5 weeks after the fallow period?
My other option would be to bring my 10g spare tank into service to use for the QT, but i think im pushing it with how many tanks i have going now without my mother having a meltdown!

First I would take care of the fish you have and see if you can clear up the Ich. I would also ask for a rain check at the store. I would not add new fish to the HT with the chance of loosing every fish do to a virulent Ich infection.

Adding a new fish could be adding a new disease that is not treatable with copper, then you are stuck. + one with GeoJ
