clown question

Last month I bought a new black and white clown. I was told it was a saddleback clown. I would like to ask this, when I first got the fish the nose area and the front fins were very yellow, now the nose is almost totally black as the clown is growing, the front fins are still yellow. Is this normal??
I don't suspect anything wrong just curious if they change this color as they get bigger.
It is a very young clownfish.

it' probably going through color changes. btu they can get darker with bad feeding. when i ran out of cyclop-eeze, my false percula gets darker near the top. i wouldn't be too worried.
what are you feeding him?

I feed a variety of flake and frozen foods. But today I have noticed that those yellow fins seem to be darkening as well. Would that not be sooooo nice to have an ocellaris or perc out of this.
Can saddlebacks be totally black and white or do they have the yellow on them?

The Saddleback, Amphiprion polymnus is a very varying species...
Here are some of the darker variants...pics from ' Edge-of-Reef '

Wow thanks for the great pics. Are these your fish???
I definatley do have a saddleback and I am sure it will look like the first one soon. It is young yet but the nose is all black now and the fins that were yellow are starting to get darker from the body outward. Such a variety of color they can have.
What is 'Edge of Reef '??
Here is a pic of mine a while ago. Wish it would stay still long enough for me to get a nice clear picture.

Yes this one and a very tiny orange/white perc are the only two fish in the tank. They get along so well, the black/white one tries to get the orange one to come to the anemone but he has no interest in the anemone but sometimes hangs out in the toadstool.
The color contrast is nice in the tank, Halloween all the time (orange and black)
