clown trigga

i just got a 1 inch baby clown trigga for a steal. i know the mortality rates are high for these little terrors but has anyone here had any success raising them?? he seems to be doing well, just fed him and aware of everything. he doesnt like flakes so i threw a couple guppies and attacked and ate them. what else could i feed this baby?? would the food i feed the adult triggers be enough nutrients or does he need special foods??

I have raised both a baby Clown and a baby Niger and found that they will eat the following and grow up well and strong with any or all of it. Live and frzen brine, frozen mysis shrimp, Formula 1 & 2 frozen, small pieces of frozen krill or squid. I would suggest tho not feeding it live fish and therefore starting it out with the idea moving fish are food, as when it grows up it will then be a bad tankmate. They do well if given room to move in and good food to eat. Good luck with the baby.

he just survived his first night. he still doesnt like flakes. i just gave him some krill and is slowly eating it. is three times a day recomended??

When I bought my juvi clown(now hes an adult:)), he didn't eat flakes, I fed him krill, mysis, squid, and live food. Be patient, after a week or so, he started to eat flakes.

i just got one the other day and he loves bloodworms, and krill and he eats flakes , they look so cool swimming around , he is small but got guts because he swims next to the hum hum and even takes food out of the other fishes mouth, i love him , good luck to all with this awesome fish :D

i know i shouldnt have done this but i did it anyway. i added him with my undulate. i have been testing his aggression before this and i noticed that when i add fish he attacks the bag right away and when i let the fish loose he is dead/food. i have seen him attack fish way bigger than him and kill them. probably because of the live foods i feed him. when i put the clown in they were swimming together. the clown even took krill out of the undulates mouth during feeding. since then i added a small dragon wrasse he never once got harrassed. the dragon pushes the undulate around. through my observations it seems that MY undulate is intimidated by wild colored fish like the clown and the dragon. i heard all the stories about undulates aggression, but i had to see for myself. people dont believe what i got together in my tank but it looks cool with these fish together.
