Clown Trigger

How active are clown triggers? I know they are monsters, but are they big swimmers as well. Or local store has had one for a while that is abot 10 inches or so. It's in a fairly small tank (125), and i was thinking of buying it and putting it in a 125 all by himself since they get so mean. It's way to tempting but i figure it'll need a bigger tank soon.

Personally I think he would be good by himself or even with a big eel of some sort...I have heard of Triggers harrassing eels, but I have never seen it. Curious to hear other responses about that idea...Lived in Charleston for 6 years by the way.

My thoguht was that if it was by itself it would have the whole tank, but it's only 72x18x24. That only gives him 10 inches or so to turn around. I've never seen one in a tank that is over a 12 inches long but they can reach up to 20 inches in the wild. With just the right layout of rocks for a few caves I thought it might be ok for a while...

This fish will survive for a long, long, long time in a 125. They are very hardy and not generally susceptible to diseases. Whether or not this is "enough room" is an ethical question. That's up to you.
