Clown Trigger

I was wondering if a clown trigger can live in the same tank as a horn shark? My local lfs said the trigger will nip at the sharks fins so it would be a bad idea. I would think that a shark would just turn around and take out the clown trigger if it was nipped at? Well thanks for your reply's... Rich

Well, at least I can tell you have an honest fish store. He's absolutly right. Triggers enjoy feasting on the cartilage found in the sharks. The fins are the easiest to nip and therefore are the first eaten. Triggers will brutally attack sharks until they die. Not good at all. You see, triggers are extremely smart and extremely fast as far as fish go and a horn shark is a slow fish. This makes it easy for the trigger to escape without any harm. Trust your fish store, they are telling the truth.

Chelives I'm still really on the fence whether to get a 250. I don't know if I can diffently put a shark in there and be happy or I may get alittle smaller tank and do a trigger type setup. SO I'm just asking ques. and gathering info about different things... Rich
