Clownfish Dying

I bought a pair of clown fish and the smaller one died and now the big one is dying. The fish is swimming up side down and is flipping over and over after swimming in front of my powerhead. He lays on the bottom some and tries to swim. It doesnt appear to have any spots on it or anything. The fins on the bottom, basically on its belly, appear to be paralized. Its really sad seeing it die and not bein able to do anything. I don't have an anenome b/c my tank has been running for a couple months. This will be my 4th clownfish I have lost and probably the last. I've been keeping a yellow tang and 2 damsels successfully for over a month. Ill post back my paremeters. Thanks

Are these fish breathing heavily? Take a look at the clownfish in the Diseased Fish Thread that have brooklynella and see if you you notice any similiarities with your fish.

The clown died. :nope: I would like to know what was wrong with it though. Yes it was breathing hard. I dont think it was sloughing though. The color seemed fine and i couldnt see any spots. i bought all four from the same shop. I dont think i will be buying anymore fish from them. Thanks

Sloughing is actually the last stage of brooklynella. At this point, there is no way to know for sure.
