Clownfish eating Q

Hey guys,
I have a pair of GSM clowns, they are less than a year old. It seems that my female is out eating my male 15:1. She doesn't let him eat. I trick them to make sure they both eat but she "attacks" him when he tries to eat. She doesn't hurt him but she sure does scare him. She is obviously getting much bigger than him so I'm wondering if it just works that way cause females turn out to be so much larger than males. Just wondering about your experiences to make sure my clown is eating enough. Thanks

I have seen females try to hog the food. I think it means they're not secure in their relationship yet, and she still sees him as competition.
Try to feed the female in one corner of your tank, then sprinkle a little food in the other corner for the male.

Well I would but those two will not separate.

As maroons mature, females get quite large, up to 6 inches. Males stay considerably smaller so what you describe sounds normal to me.
This bulling, not letting him eat is her way of letting him know she's the boss. They go back and forth in their relationship, loving one minute, putting him in his place the next. I would just try feeding enough so he can snag some. Has this been going on long, is he looking thin? If not I would just let them work it out, they usually do if they have bonded.
Question: How long have they been together? You didn't actually say

I bought them as a pair @ my LFS back in Aug. He doesn't look thin at all and he does eat, but it seems like in one sitting the male eats between 3-5 pellets and the female eats between 15-20. As long as its normal. I just don't want him to go hungry.
