Hey everyone...first off...
55 gallon tank
35 pounds live rock
260w lighting
-3 firefish
-1 sea cucumber
-1 scooter blenny
-6 crabs
-3 snails
Alright so about... 4 days ago I went out and bought the 2 clownfish I have, regular perculas 1 big 1 small so no fighting. 1 swam all over, ate and was very active. The other always layed centimeters off the sand and never ate and didnt do much, woke up one day and he was dead. I had to go to work but I was going to scoop him out later, never found him. Today I came in (2 days after death) and found crabs eating the last bites of him. Also today the bigger clownfish is doing the EXACT same stuff, just barely swimming on the bottom. Do you think the water has poisened him or what do you think is wrong? I dont see any signs of ich. I did a water change earlier the same day I got my fish, so water was good and all my perm. checked out good, salinity 1.024.
Just fed the fish like usual time, this clownfish didnt eat any...

Just to cover another base here ~ how did you acclimate the clown fish?

2 hours in the bag then opened into a bowl and mixed water with my tank for a bit then put him in my tank
edit: he ate today, and is swimming around normally..hmm maybe nothing is wrong he just wanted to lay towards sand?

Temp acclimating can be done in the bag in less time than that, usually about 1/2 hour is fine, then over the next two hours or so water from the tank should have been put into the bag slowly (drip acclimating is best) with water from the bag that should then be discarded while it fills with tank water. Never put water from the bag back into your main tank! discard it. When you have 90% or more tank water in the bag then you can place the fish into your main. Slow is the key so that you prevent osmotic shock., which it sounds like your fish may have been a victim of.
