Clownfish hosting question

My clownfish host my BTA at night, but once the lights turn on they aren't caught anywhere around it. Is this common for clownfish? Will they eventually host it during the day too? They've had the anemone for over 3 weeks now.

every clown is different

they are all unpredictable.
my clowns are like that too but instead of an anemone they host some hair algae.

It may be a security thing, at night the clown feels safer when sleeping in the anemone. If it is threatened or insecure in the daytime or when the lights are on, it will probably go to the anemone for safety. just my .02
