Clownfish query

I know the clownfish questions have to get old but sorry. I got a clownfish yesterday and every time i turn on the light he swims all over the tank against the glass as if he is chasing his reflection, or trying to find a way out. He doesnt stop either. I checked a few parameters like PH, Ammonia, and Nitrates. PH was 8.0 and everything else 0. Will he be alright? Is this normal? Thanks in advance!

That sounds pretty normal for a newly introduced clownfish. Give him a day or two and he/she should settle down. Has it been eating yet? :D

yep, normal. both of ours did that. searching for a way out or just exploring its new home hunting for what will be its territory. keep an eye on it, but at this point I wouldn't worry. oh and he may not eat for a few days either.

Try bringing the lights up slowly, turn the room lights on for a while first or whatever. My clowns have always had very strange behavior when they first "wake up". Takes 'em a while to get going. No coffee :D
