I had a a pair of clowns a cpl of months back. The would never eat. Not even try. I ended up taking them back to the LFS (1 died on the way) the other died a few days later in their hospital tank. Well I bought 2 more (LFS gave me a break) paid for only 1. They took to my carpet anenome after about 12 hrs. I have had them now 2 days, they go after food but spit it out. I am wondering if it is just me:( I have tried prime reef flake and frozen, a brine based pellet food, frozen mysis, frozen brine, frozen emerald entree. They go after all of the food but just spit it out. Should I worry yet? Any help would be appreciated.

Try something live like brine shrimp you can enrich them with HUFA (oil drops) about 10-20 mins before you feed them to your fish. You can keep them in a milk jug with an airstone for 3-5 days before they need a water change. They can be strained through an ultra fine net to change the wastewater. Use a piece of airline or a turkey baster to suck up some bshrimp and squirt them near your fish. If they don't eat them I would worry if they do you may be able to slowly transition over to frozen foods. Don't panic it takes weeks of most fish to starve.

Well my LFS is closed on Mondays, so I could not ask exactly what they were feeding. I did see them eat some type of flake. I know it takes some time for fish to get settled in to a new place. But my tangs got right at home and comfortable when I brought them home a cpl of months ago. They ate like they were starving and havent slowed down a bit. I will give the live brine a go if I dont have luck with what the LFS was giving them. Will let yu all know tomorrow.
Thanks for the input.
