clownfish ?

ok i was planning on adding two f percula clownfish (they are tank raised) and when i told myy lfs about using shrimp to cycle a tank theyd never heard of that, so my question is can i add the clownfish while my tank is cycling since they are pretty hardy fish i fgured it would be ok but my lfs scared me off my levels are am. .13 nitrite 3.0 and nitrate 20

I've read that you should wait till your ammonia & nitrite levels are 0, and I think most will say so...
But I added a False Percula to cycle my tank, and he's still here and very healty, my LFS said that with LR and LS that there usually is virtually no cycle. I wanted to add him cause I wanted a clownfish anyway and I didn't want to tear my tank up catching damsels!
I guess you make the call.
