Hello and Welcome! :jumping:
Perhaps you should start by telling us exactly what is in your setup right now. what is your substrate, filtration, lighting etc.
How are you cycling the tank?
In answer to your question, The most clownfish I would recommend would be two small ocellaris. If you are cycling your tank right now then I would recommend you go ahead and add your LR.

I had a 29 gallon FOWLR and I had at one time 9 Perc clowns in there. They were all tank raised and never had any problem with them. Only one died from unknown cause a couple were eatin by a Proc puffer that I had. The remaining 6 lived for over a year with now problems.

I do not advise that many fish in a 29 gal aquarium. You want your fish to be healthy and happy, not swimming in filth. The recommended amount of fish is 1inch of fish per 5gallons in your aquarium. So in a 29gal you do not want more than 6 inches of fish, so that would be two occellaris clownfish and one other small fish, when your tank is more stable and established then you could probably get another small fish. Nothing good comes from overstocking a saltwater fish tank.

one inch per 2 gallons is only for a tank with lots of LR that has been established for a year, 1inch per 5gallons is recommended for a new tank.
