ive had my clowns for well over a year. they were tiny little aquacultured frys when i got them. about 8 months ago, i got a tiny sebae nem as well. the clowns didnt give it one second of attention, didnt look at it, acknowledge it, realize what it was or even care. this sebae has quadrupled in size and turned a nice brown. very pretty. kept reading and seeing others clowns with nems and got jealous but gave up and thought mine would never do it since i got them so young and they were aquacultered.
all of a sudden last week completely on their own, the clowns started swimming near the nem and started poking at it. that went on for a day and by the next day both of them are completely engulfed it in. wont leave it for a second. its the coolest thing watching this symbiotic relation. they even sleep in it at night. the nem closes up completely with both of them in the middle completely still.
for those of you still waiting for this, i had given up all hope and one day it just happened.
