Clowns

Hey guys and gals! I"m looking to add some type of Clownfish but I can't decide which one. I was looking into the Perculas, Clarkii, or Tomato. It will be in a f/o tank w/o an anenome and the other fish are 2 damsels, a coral beauty and a friendly niger trigger. So does anyone have any input on what I should get? Thanks in advance.

Clowns? I like their color. They are a nice addition to the tank. I love the perculas (especially in pairs) - they are friendly and cute but... my pair of percula clowns were beat by a mean damsel... I also had a tomato clown, very nice and hardy but very territorial. He would not let himself be bothered by other fish. The maroon clown is also very nice. It is a matter of taste but also size of the fish that you pick up. Looking at the size of your tank, I am also concerned by the presence of a Niger... they grow big... Don't overcrowd ;)

I would say the Tomato Clown.....get three really small ones but not the same sizes or get just one.

Hey,
Tank Raised Perculas all the way! See if your lfs can get tank raised fish. They acclimate wonderfully and eat better in my opinion.

I would have to say my vote is with the gold stripe maroon clown. I really enjoy watching my 2 together.

I agree with the gold stripe maroon clown. They are beautiful. I also have 2 pink skunk clowns that are very pretty and nice to watch with their long tentacle anemone.
