Hopefully you have figured it out by now but if not I'll try and help
Sorry for the late responce.
Ive heard alot of people say that not only does the Coralife Super Skimmer leak
but it also produces tons of microbubbles.
I had one for about a week and hated it.
Your's may still need some more time to be broken in.
If not, then get used to bubbles.
Sorry.

this is true, as stated above...I have this skimmer and IMO it isnt worth the money spent on it. Constant bubbles...And when you add food for corals....even more bubbles....if your water level drops in the tank, it will overflow.... The only good thing about it was that it was easy to adjust. that's it...It does go thru a break in period, but you will still have lots and lots and lots of bubbles making it into your display tank...

I solved the problem on mine...
Get filament..The angel hair stuff used for corner bubble filters in a freshwater tank...the white stuff you can fill a pillow with.
Put that in the very bottom of the over overflow cup..completely submerge the cup underwater and then put the black coarse sponge on top according to instructions...lift that only above the water level. Be sure to leave a space between the filament and the black sponge. I know the suff floats up, but pack it as best you can on the bottom.
keep an eye on it to make sure it does not clog up and overflow outside the tank from a little n-i-p-p-l-e on the output tube. If it does remove some of the filament..you stuffed it too much.
I HATE
this skimmer... maybe as much or more, than the CPR backpac I used before buying this one. I don't have the cash for another HOB skimmer...I think they all suck anyway. I don't use a wet/dry or sump so I can't put it there. Those are the only ones that I think work properly.
Hope this method helps...
P.S.
ALWAYS turn off any skimmer while you feed your corals....all it does is suck up all the food you just put in and the corals will starve. Turn it off for the day
...it takes a filter feeding coral all day to feed. I only feed my corals once a week...otherwise you will have algae blooms. What feeds a coral feeds algae.

Or do what I did get a Blue sleeve for a HOB 250 Marineland Canister Filter.. Take all the crap Coralife gives you out of the basket and put that in the bottom then put the return tube of the skimmer in the opening of the sleeve. Solved part of the issue with the Bubbles.
Also I called and complained to Coarlaife about the bubbles and how I was having to use an airpump to get it to work at all. They told me to check 2 things make sure the impeller shaft was seated fully turned out mine as cracked and make sure your top cover for the pump is not warped mine was and that is why the shaft cracked.
I am getting a new pump out of the deal. Alos take it apart and use a Handheld shower hose to blast water thru the inlet line there maybe a build up of crud in there I had that issue a time or 2. cleaned it out before I knew about the shaft and it would work for a while without the air pump.
