and laying beside it. It has been an awesome speciman. It is still alive, in fact other than NOT being in his tube it looks great.
Is it curtains? Should I return him to his tube?
Thanks!

That's too bad, sorry for your loss:( I had a hawaiin feather duster worm leave it's tube and crawl into a shallow cave. It was really cool watching it build a new tube out of the sand. That is until one morning it was just laying there dead with a chunk out of it.

Coco worms don't build a tube out of sand and mucus like a duster.....if he left his tube, he was obviously very unhappy, and I doubt VERY much he would even have a remote chance of living. Perhaps instead of trying to move him back to the spot he didn't like.....move the tube to whereever he is, and see if he will back into it?? Ugly out of the tube...ain't they?:D

....Is it always a case of being unhappy if they exit their tube?
I wonder what was wrong:(
My green brittle star, had him for breakfast. Maybe I should have intervened and moved him to a safer place in the tank (once he had left his tube).
They are crazy looking and vulnerable.
All water parameters test well, he was over a year in the tank, maybe their lifespans arent real long.
