coil denitrator

Does coil denitrators work? I have been looking at the aqua gone filter. Any suggestions?

I am not familiar with that particular unit but have used a drip coil unit and a DIY unit and have not had much luck. They are very tricky to get to work correctly and if not used properly (Drip unit that is) they can let dangerous H2s into your water (Smells like rotten eggs). I finally changed to a refugium and it works great. I even use one on my aggressive tank and have nitrates at 0 in my reef tank and 15 in my aggressive. Let me know how it goes if you try one.

i have no experience, but have recently researched them greatly, and have found little reccomendations, most either did not like them, or at best, thought they were too difficult to use to get any results at all
IMO, a skimmer in conjunction wiht a dsb and lr works great, and is lees ewuipment to maintain
