collection cup

I have had my skimmer up for about five months now and for some reason there is nothing in the collection cup. Is the skimmer broke or did I just do something wrong?

is there a little air flow valve on it? maybe it is closed?
once my valve dropped into my sump and that was also something that stopped the skimming
i dont have the same skimmer, but just some thoughts

Ill see if it does, but I think so.

Yeah it does, I turned it on and the bubbles began to come out. I guess we'll just have to see if I get anything in the cup.

I looked online at the skimmer and it says it has a "true flow meter". Is the meter reading properly? You may have to adjust the amount of air infusion to get the level just right. That will make a big difference. HTH

Its a VISI-JET-PS.
Throw it out. If you get it to work let me know how. I've had one for over a week in my qt tank and it doesn't work worth a damn. I've got a prizm and a seaclone 150. And they are both awesome. The visi-jet is visi-junk. I got it cuz it was cheap. I knew better and still did it.
