College Bowl Games

Who else has been watching? Been some great ones as always.
Texas vs. Ohio St was great last night. Texas now should have no argument that they should have been in the Title Game. Texas vs. Ohio St. was 2 really good teams with Texas winning because they were just a little better. USC vs. Ohio St earlier this year was a complete mismatch USC looked like a professional team beating up on a high school team, just a complete different level of talent on the field.....USC should be playing Florida in the Championship game. Proven even more by the PAC-10 being undefeated in the Bowl Games.....Need a playoff.
I think Florida kills Oklahoma from the overrated big 12 on Thursday.

I watched the Rose Bowl. Was disappointed with the outcome but kinda figured it would happen.

I don't know, if we go by BCS logic.
Alabama is still a better team than Florida, even though they lost in head to head competition with Florida and have the same record. Thus making UT national champions.

Uh....What???

Are Texas fans still argueing they are better than Oklahoma....OK, fine your better, but USC would thump either of them, Texas squeaked by a team that didn't even belong on the field with USC....The Big 12 is OVERRATED!!!! Texas Tech whom beat Texas got waxed by the 5th best team in the SEC.....The SEC and Pac-10 are as always the 2 best conferences.

There is this simple thing called logic, you lose to a team, and have the same record, then you aren't better than that team. It is asinine. For OU to be in the game and Texas not.

I agree, neither one should be in the title game....Should be USC vs. Florida.

my friend is a huge fan i dont folloe collage much.he seems to think they play again.
i thought once you play a bowl game the season is done right?

I guess I should reiterate my arguement....Texas fans can still complain that OU is in the title game, but they really shouldn't think they belong after what 1 loss USC did to to Penn St and Ohio St.

Ohio went 10-2 during the season. Penn state, is another story. Before the bowls, the Tech loss didn't look at bad, as after the bowl. And well, they forgot that OU lost. At least it wasn't an LSU issue. of last yaer

Texas beat Oklahoma on a neutral field, had the same record, had a nearly identical slate of opponents except Texas had to play Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech in consecutive weeks. All were undefeated except Oki State with one loss, all were in the top 10 with Missouri and Oki being #1 when Texas got to them, Tech was #2 I believe. Texas absolutly belonged in the gane over Oklahoma.
The Big 12 was seriously over rated, just like the SEC is every year when most of their teams schedule 2 or 3 out of conference door mats to start their season to pad their win/loss stats.
Difference is the Big 12 was not exposed as over rated until the bowl games. I am a life long USC fan and given the way the PAC 10 played this year it was hard to make an argument against the winner of the Big 12 going to the NC. The PAC's bowl performances backed up what I said all along, the PAC was a lot better than their record because they were killed with early season injuries. Unfortunately thats life under the current system. They don't award sympathy points because you are forced to play a walk on freshman QB because everyone else is hurt.
What the lucky win against OSU does is take away any reasonable argument that Texas is number 1. I couldn't believe their classless coach announcing he was voting Texas number 1 after struggling against a team USC dominated and USC had a much easier game against the team that beat OSU fot their conference title. WHAT A JOKE!
I'd be willing to chip in 100 bucks to help fund a USC vs winner of the NC game

Hell a 4 team playoff. Im a Tech fan but they blew there bowl game.

UTAH
and FLR or whoever when the ship. Im tired of this BCS bull crap.
UTAH is a good team and undfeated. Number 1 is what they should be in the polls until beating.
4 team playoff is only 2 more games.
But BCS is gonna be around for a long time w the billions of dollars in contracts. So just gotta keep puttin up with it!

We lost to OK becuz of a BYE and we came out flat and lookin like a damn highschool team playing some pros!
We beat Texas. Texas beat OK. OK beat Tech. Teams should played each other to see who played Mizz and see who goes to teh championship game.
Newayz USC is the best team in the nation IMO

I'd like to see the AP vote Utah #1, I think they earned it.
I don't think there is a team in the country that could beat USC if they show up to play but then again I guess that's why they play the games.

Texas had the best excuse for their loss. Look at the games they had to play leading up tp the Tech Game. Still can't believe Tech lost their bowl game.

NO WAY!!! no mid major should be considered #1 unless they beat a #1... the Utes are a solid team, and did exactly what they had to to get an at large bid... this year is another example of why a play off is VERY needed in the FBS...
