Color In Aggressive Fish Only Tank

I want to add some color (plants or coral) to my FOWLR 100g tank. Currently it has a v. lion, porc. puffer, goldentail eel, and a soon to be leaving panther grouper. Prefer something that's not to hard to take care of. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You can actually do almost any coral with these fish. IME the porky puffer won't mess with most of your coral, but this may vary from individual fish. Porc. puffers can be very unpredictable. My last one loved starfish, but my current one doesn't even pay attention to them. Neither one has touched any of the coral that I've put in there. It's really the inverts you have to worry about, same thing with the lion. You can probably try some cheap frags and see how they do.

No....they will be eaten unless they are very large...like a strawberry hermit that is 4+ inches. How big is the tank?? If it isn't at least 100 gallons and established the sand sifter will prolly die from starvation.....

The hermits, snails, and star are doing ok with fish. Would coral have any problem with them (cuc)? Tank is an established 100g.

Yeah, I have a frogspawn, lots of mushrooms, some xenia,, gives color. Now my husband says it looks like a 'fishtank' now that its not just fish

One of the bigger issues with keeping Corals in an aggressive is keeping Nitrates at a suitable level for Corals in a tank with a bunch of messy eaters. Most FOWLR's run with greater then 20 Nitrates and 20 is already too high for Corals.

My nitrates hover between 20-40..
I havent had any problems with mushrooms, the xenia and frogspawn yet. Actually, like most people my xenia is spreading rapidly. I think the difference is I dont have any hard corals, they are much touchier. But,,, I could be the only one
I dont overfeed and granted I do a 30 gallon water change 2x a month (or atleast try to) I think of my tank as a normal aggressive tank, with the normal aggressive readings.

Do all puffers do that or just depends on there personality? Mine has been biting the heck out of my sandsifter starfish and he's only about 4 inches long.

Depends on the personality. Neither of the puffers Ive had ever bit at rock.
