What is a good colorful fish for a 50 gallon reef tank?
i alrdy have:
sixline
engineer goby
yellow angel
clownfish
miss. inverts
coral (hard/soft)
im looking for a active fish but not a large one im hopping on a 2 inch range
thankyou
i was thinking clownfish gobies but they were picked on too much by my sixline so anything 2inches(sixlinesize) or bigger is a must or if its small it must be defensive so it wont die
thankyou again

Damsels are mean enough to hold up to anything. Lots of pretty ones. I don't know how big they get. They might become the bully so watch them.

...What?
So by the double negative in your first sentance (I believe its a sentance) you support damselfish? Also whats not to like about chromis? They are cheap, and they school. They are not aggressive either; if anything
its just towards eachother.

pink psuedochromis (spelling?)
+1 on the Midas blenny
I just bought a Midas Blenny(African) today and looks stunning especially with my Hippo tang (blue fish yellow fins, yellow fish blue eyes)

I hope you have covered your tank. I have currently 2 Midas's living in an overflow.
The above fish suggestions are good, I don't have any to add.

I also recently added a blackcap basslet (beautiful but not out much with the others) and very beautiful midas blenny...he's completely awesome...my little brown noser. I do have my tank covered with egg crate, and so far, so good.
Another thought for your 50 might be a red headed fairy wrasse. My daughter recently added one of those to her 55gal, and he is stunning to say the least. Not sure how easy they are to find though. She also has her tank covered with egg crate.
