Colt Coarl Shrinking

I bought a large colt coral about 4-5 months ago. It was about 4-5 inches tall on the shaft of the coral. Now it is about 1-1.5 inches. I have 300 watts of MH and do regular water changes. Does anyone have any feedback on why this coral is shrinking? Thanks Doug

What's the temperature in your tank? Mine was magnificent before I left on vacation and forgot the air conditioning. I came home to find that the tank was around 85 degrees (7 higher than normal), and the coral was half size. With 300w of mh, your temp might be a bit high for him. Just a thought.

check your alk and magnesium... mine shrunk before i started testing for these, when i did start testing they were way low and now that i dose kalk and raised the mag the colt is growing again
