colt coral looklike it on death row

i have a colt coral and it HUGE now.. and it fraged about 3 months ago by itself..
now it has shrunk up and hasen't stood up inabout 1 1/2 weeks.. (it was only about 2-3 inches tall)
and its all shrunken.. not sure if it dieing or what?
and help would be great...

well i think its dead.. last night looked at it something started to ripe the base apart.. then this moring can't be found at all..
not srue why it died? as no one commented on this???
i'm stumped as i know my tank is doing great.. all my other coral seem great..

colt corals sometimes have a bad habit of melting away out of no where. I had a huge show piece that started melting. I frag out as much as possible and ended up with about 14 2in frags.
I dont know if anything has been found as to a cause of the melts though. in my case water quality was high and in check and it still happened so.

but ya thats what it seemed to do..

unfortuneatly its just something that they do. I never could get any answers when mine did it. a few had some ideas but nothing to write in stone about a cause.
