Do you mean nitrite is 5 and nitrate is 0? Nitrate is harmless in coral to a certain percent, but nitrite is very harmful.

nitrate is 5....nitrite is 0...it is in a 125 gallon tank with 750w MH lighting, placed on the bottom, it was doing fine until last night

Give it some time, they do go through periods of shedding, but not all the coral. Give it plenty of flow, low is fine, and you should be ok. They are very forgiving coral, as far as water chemistry.
Mine does weird things periodically too.
If it completely closes up.....you have problems.
