Colt Coral ?

ok i bought a frag from my LFS of a colored colt coral...i attached it to a piece of rock with a rubber band and i went to move this rock today and the coral split where the rubber band was attaching it ...i reattached it with less agressive rubber band ...did i attach it too tight the first time?

not really. That happens frequently with soft corals, namely ones like colt, kenya, mushrooms.
try putting some mesh over it?
could always glue it

yea see i thought about that but i didnt know if u was able or supposed to glue softies...anyways i reattached it lightly with the rubber band if it dont work ill go to glue. Do softies (my colt) grow and extend more at night? cause i wake up and this thing has grown about 1/2 inch but goes down when lights come on

what lighting do you have?
maybe the lights are too bright for it and it needs time to adjust.
Ive personally never glued a colt so lets see if someone else has. I dont own a colt. maybe someone who has one can tell you what they did.
