When I upgrade to a 125G, I will have a 29G that I would like to have seahorses in. Question is, can I connect it to the 125's sump/refugium or should I use separate filtration for the SH tank?

Ok, I'll use an extra canister filter I have. Is a skimmer needed?
Most ppl would say yes but i have heard both ways. i think if you have good filtration and keep up on water changes i think it would be ok just my 2 cents.

SH are very hard on water quality in general, so a skimmer is a big help, especially if you don't run LR and macroalgae in the system.. i prefer to use skimmers if there's a sump, but otherwise, i let the LR and macro do the work.
