Theres a lobster tank at a local

[hr]
that I could probably get cheap. 6 foot and 16" deep. I'm thinking just add a sump and some good lighting, and this could be a good garage frag tank.
Any thoughts??

If its cheaper than a regular tank id say go for it! Thats going to be a huge frag tank. Is it around 125 gallons?

I agree looks good. Also from what I hear they have a great chiller and an awesome skimmer already under them(at least most do). Also should have a pump in it as well. I would not even think you would need to add a sump. Just add a few PH for better water movement and go for it. Also the glass just looks like it need to be cleaned up with a good strong vinegar solution.

I'm not too worried about glass clarity being a frag tank. If I can get this thing for $300 or less, I'm jumping on it.
I just hope the chiller is adjustable enough to keep it at 78-80 versus cold lobster temp. Like I said, this will be in my garage which gets pretty hot in the summer.

Even if the chiller isn't adjustable there is no reason why you can't retrofit a Ranco controller on there to run it at a higher temperature. Higher temp is usually no problem...
