%I have a custom sealife compact florscent fixture on my 55 gal reef tank, I know the lighting is only good for about a year before needing replacement, even thought you don't notice the loss of output by eye.My tank is using a 4ft long fixture using two 22 inch lights ,one on each end but the right side fails to energize all the time, If I shut it off wait, and restart some times it goes back on some times it takes forever amount of tries. One time it would not go on so I tried swapping bulbs, but that side still didn't work.I kooke at the wire terminals and connectors and tried jiggling to make contact to energize the light ..No good, moving and wiggling didn.t help I finally shut it off and assembled all tired it again and it came on now it works ok but I seen this before and it's only temp[. whats wrong ?can this be fixed? what shold I look for? Is there a ballast in this thing ? and if there is is it repairable? Help Please....Hawkster
