Companies using dumb people to promote their products???

I watched over 1200 miles of racing Sunday, F1 Istanbu GP, Indy 500, Coke 600, and these commercials I don't get it at all. I had DVR'ed the F1 race to watch during Indy so I could DVR Indy and have some commercial skip time, but the Coke 600 was live.
Anyways, yea, I understand the point is to make a joke, but who wants to be like these people? Wouldn't the average person see that ad and think "I don't want to be like him, I better not buy that same product?"
Admittedly this one is very weak, only other one I could find on youtube quickly. Dumb for not realizing not to go into the parade. A big-ass float in front of you would suggest not to drive in that direction.

Note: This thread has nothing to do with any previous threads/post I may have done with preference to automotive manufacture brands. These vids are just some of the ones that were drilled into me Sunday that feature idiots....

I dunno, but I remember both those commercials and could tell you which make and model they were advertizing, because of the humor involved... Which is better than most commercials. I think that is what they're going for.

I really can't stand the parade commercial. Really the only time I see commercials is in the morning when I have the news on. Everything else is on the DVR.

I am one of those people who wont buy a product marketed through dumb of offensive commercials. When we were looking for a car for the wife she wouldn't even consider a Mazda because of the zoom zoom ads.
