comparing halides

I've searched past posts on halide lighting and came across the one offered by ********** which Salty and a few others use with the bulb upgrade. I also came across someone offering the following: Aqua Luminators Halide light system. comes with the "famous" Iwaski 150w. bulb 6500k with spectrum "color arc" peaks at 420nm. This is a complete light with heavy anodized aluminum extrusion that can be mounted on the wall or under a canopy. original price $479.95 being sold brand new for $199 (manufacturers closeout). I'm leaning towards getting the later one. What is your opinion as I have no experience with halides as of yet? Also for "gnelson", I noticed you posted finding 48" 110 watt compacts for $100. Where was this? Thank you for your replies!!!

One 150 watt for 199bucks,or two 175 watt retros for about the same money.I would go for the 175's. Plus these being retro's you can mount them however you want under the hood.
