I have a flame angelfish and a jewel damsel in a 75 gallon tank. my damsel now has discoloration on its left side, almost but very possible that there are scales missing. Could the angelfish be picking on the damsel. the angel is 3" and the damsel 1".will the damsel die from this what should I do?

how old is the damsel?, after a while they tend to lose most of their color, and become a very dreary looking fish.

Are they the only 2 in the tank? If the damsel was added after the flame then yes it is very possible. Like the Purple Tang, the flame angel should be the last fish added to a tank so they do not recognize the entire tank as their territory and learn to co-exist with other fish more easily in a community.
Hypothetically if it was the 1st fish added It will most likely pick on every fish added after it.
