Computer virus.

Well not sure if anyone remebers, or even cares, but around the time of the Sasser worm I got a bug. It turns out it was not the sasser worm. I was able to fix some of the problems, but for everyone that I would fix another one would pop up, literally. It even got to the point where the computer would not shut down correctly. Yes I would run spybot and ad aware. But after doing a sweep 1 hour later I wold run it again and there would be 5 new files. I was going to reinstall windows, but let's just say that I would some important programs. Before anybody says that I would not lose the programs you are right, but they would not be in the registry and I no longer have access to the discs to reinstall them. A very rich man is actually quite a smart business person.
So I went out and bought Norton Internet Security. I was looking at just getting Anti Virus but it around $40 or $50. There were some bundled programs where you could get AV and spam control for $60. Then down on the bottom shelf I noticed Internet security. It includes Anti virus, personal firewall, provacy control, antispam and parental control for $70. We had a winner 5 $40 programs for $70, plus a $30 rebate. I installed it yesterday. It had to do a scan before it would install. It found 17 viruses and fixed the shutting down problem even before I insalled the program. They recommend doing another scan after installation. During the scan about 5 times it would pop up and say that a program is trying to access the internet do I want to never allow this program to access the internet. BTW they were all different programs.
I know that I still have a little work to do and some disc clean up but at least the computer is usable now.
Just thought I would share.
I seem to have won this battle

Don't know of this is even relevant or not but here is what I do when someone here gets a virus...... Format and reload!
I am religious about backing up any data you can not lose, it only makes sense..

I am new here. I am a System Analyst and what you have is spyware called Ezula. It is a Internet Explorer plug-in. I would suggest that you download a program called Ad-aware made by lavasoft. This should remove any spyware you have on your computer.
