Condi bleached or just white?

I've read on this site that anemones are never white. However, I have 2 Florida Condi's that are both white. I've had them for about 2 months and they are still white. One was light beige when I got it, but now it is translucent white with purple tips. They both are very large and seem to look healthy. Could they just be this color? All of the condis I see at the LFS here are this color. Do I need to do something different? I have MH and I feed them shrimp once a week. My maroon clown hosts both anemones (he takes turns, it's really cute), so I don't want to lose them.

How big is your tank, and what wattage is your MH light(s)?
It will take them a while to regain their zooantha, but MOST anemone should have a tan/brownish color to them. Even the whiter anemones still have a tan foot, with whiter tenticles.
Posting a picture is the only sure way to tell, but it seems to me like they were definately bleached but it sounds like you have good lighting so they should be okay.

I don't know how to post a picture, but when my husband gets home I will try. Their foots are orange! Is that bad?

My tank is 90 gallons. I don't know how many watts my MH are. The LFS set up my tank. I didn't know there was a difference.

Thanks

That is good news. I guess the LFS told me it was a different anem. My clown really likes them, so I'm glad they are OK.

i also have one. the foot is red/pink and the rest is white/cream colored. if the foot becomes bleached or white in color then you need to worry
