Could you list all your tank parameters, everything that you test for, size of tank, lighting, how long it's been setup, etc.

90 gal
Orbiculate Batfish
PJ Cardinal
Red Spotted Sand Perch
Peppermint Shrimp
Live Rock
Sun Coral
Blue Leg Hermits
T5's
1.023
pH 8.0
everything else is clear
Like I said, it was perfectly fine before I left and nothing has changed. Maybe it ate a peppermint shrimp?
Going out of town, so I need to know if I should remove it
Thanks!

Now it's deflated and the foot has let go of the rock. I'm guessing it's dead and I need to pull it from the tank.

I went to move it and it started to open up a little. Only a few tentacles are normal and the rest are shriveled up and look pretty bad.
I will leave it for a little bit and see if anything changes - otherwise i'm going to have to pull it because I won't be here to monitor any changes.

Yeah I'd either do that or quarantine it, but you definitely don't want it dying in your DT. Those things break down really fast because they are primarily water.

Do you use ro water? Your salinity is too low should be 1.025 1.026. It does not look dead yet. I would not move it, you will just stress it out even more. If it is dying you will know pretty quick. More pics. How old is your tank?

r.i.p.
I will have to get a replacement.
Thanks for all your suggestions. As to the salinity, everyone has different opinions on what will work or not work for my tank. I've heard everything from 1.023 to 1.026. I will just have to find what works best for the tank and it's inhabitants.
