wait and get a bubbke tip or a sebae anemone. they are more money but worth it because they naturally let clowns host it.

It would be difficult to say if you will have luck with an anemone. But If I were to suggest any it would be a BTA, again your on the short end of light intensity for any anemone but its possible you could keep a BTA for a short while..depending on where it decides to foot.

maroons host long tentacles pretty well too, my buddies gold strip maroon hosted a condy but now he also has a bubble and he jumped ship to that one lol. i heard hatians are more for display than hosting. id go LTA or BTA.

FYI... Haitian anemones are the same as Condylactis anemones.. one is the common name the other is the scientific name...Condylactis sp. which are found in the western atlantic. They are not common to clownfish in general so thats where the debate comes in on weather or not they will host it. Some species of clown fish are so driven that they will just because.. but your chances are decreased with these species of anemones. Unlike LTA's which are found in a completly different region, western Pacific, from South Japan, through the Philippines, eastern Indonesia, New Guinea to northern Australia.

I got a BTA from this site last week and my one maroon hosted it in less than an hour and hasn't gone far from it since...and the anenome is doing great...I wouldn't risk something that might hurt your fish if you can get an anenome that you know the clownfish will host.

I just got a bta from here yesterday and my maroon that hosts my xenia has moved to the bta overnight. Are you satisfied with the specimen you got from here?
