is this enough lighting for a condi.
i have 260 w pc light on a regular 55.
Would a maroon clown go in it or not?
i heard that condi's really don;t have a relationship with clowns. is that true?

Someone jump in and tell me if I'm wrong, but Condy's are an Atlantic species, and most clowns come from the Pacific, right? So they are not usually together. I'm sure there are some people on here who have clown's hosting in them, though, because Lord knows they host in all sorts of strange things--even a plastic decorative anemone I read about on one thread!
As for the lights, it's probably a little weak. Again though, lots of people keep anemones under that type of lighting. IMO, I don't think it will grow or thrive as well as it would under more intense lighting--I'm getting ready to upgrade my own system for that very reason.

yes they host a wide variety of anemones, corals and even fakes. as for lighting i havea 50/50 24w in my nano. im upgrading to a 55g long, and am shopping for new lighting myself, for the new tank. youll probably need some itinic blues as well. the type of lighting depends on the the depth of your tank as well so it can penetrat.
