i had just gotten this little itty thing and he was like an inch
now hes like 5 - 7 inches across (normal to expand in that amount?)
also he chose to stick to my heater
good or bad
should i take him off?

dont yank on him... you can slide your fingernail carefully under his foot and slowly work your finger around the foot. he will eventually un-stick himself. you could also point a power head with light flow at him hoping to make him uncomfortable enough to move on his own, however, it doesn't always work as ive been told.

i did it and he moved to a rock
now back to the original question
is it normal for them to expand so much?
