Just purchased my first anemone and am wondering about feeding. Any special requirements or do I assume it will get enough nutrients via the flow of the water. Thanks
They need to be fed. IMO, you should read about the animals that you are putting into your tank before you buy them. Many people find anemones hard to keep, but some have luck with them. Personally I find them best left in the ocean, but best of luck!
You can use a variety of meaty foods, usually chopped fine. Silversides, mysis shrimp, chopped cocktail shrimp, krill, formula 1, scallops. You can use a turkey baster to gently shoot some food into the tentacles.

I fed mine for the first time last night (condi) and just gave him a half cube of formula one. I didn't use a turkey baster or anything like that, I just put an old fork down in the tank and he took it right off of it.
